What DOMCON 2026 Taught Us About What the Community Really Wants

DOMCON 2026 is over, and I'm still riding the high—even if my body needed three days to recover.

May 27-31 at the Hilton LAX, I set up the Floggers.com booth for the biggest annual BDSM/kink conference in North America. Friday and Saturday I was running on fumes (let's just say my immune system staged a mutiny), but I pushed through. And I'm so glad I did, because what happened at that booth taught me more about what the community actually wants than six months of online research ever could.

The Numbers

We did about $3,000 in sales—solid for a three-day vend. But numbers don't tell the real story.

What Actually Sold

Dragon Tails flew off the shelf. Bunnies too. The spreader bars were consistent sellers. Stainless steel canes had people coming back for more. Ball chain floggers? Steady stream of interest. But here's what surprised me most about the mix: it wasn't the flashiest items that people wanted. It was the ones that worked.

The Real Insight: Hands Matter

I spent three days talking to people trying equipment, asking questions, watching how they held things. And I noticed something that nobody explicitly said but everyone showed me: the women testing our lightweight aluminum handles with PVC or rubber grips were the ones coming back to buy.

Why? Wrist strain.

If you're a top who plays hard and plays often, you know the problem. After an hour of impact play, your wrist is fatigued. A heavier flogger looks impressive, but after a two-hour scene? Your forearm is screaming. Lighter weight + better handle ergonomics = you can keep playing longer, harder, and actually enjoy the scene instead of fighting through pain.

The lightweight aluminum handles with PVC or rubber sleeves weren't a "nice to have"—they were a game-changer. And DOMCON taught me that this is real demand from real people who know what they're doing.

What's Coming

Based on DOMCON feedback, we're developing some new products:

• Finger floggers — people asked for them. We're building them.
• Danny style slapper — specific request from multiple vendors. It's happening.
• More aluminum handle options — we heard you. Expanding the lineup across more product types.
